Worldwideinsure.com was mentioned in the Mail On Sunday's article yesterday "The Crafty Traveller: Top tips for driving down the costs if your holiday car hire" by Fred Mawer.
A topic that has been well covered in the media of late included "Buy separate excess waiver insurance" where Worldwideinsure.com was quoted.
Also: "Avoid Fuel rip offs" Saying the most cost effective way to save money is to pick up the vehicle with a full tank of fuel returning it full and not making any money for the car rental company. However as mentioned on this blog a lot recently and in other media. As the Mail's article says "many firms, especially in Spain, now insist on a 'full-empty' arrangement. You have to pay up front, usually at an inflated price, for a full tank of fuel and are encouraged to return the vehicle with the tank as empty as possible - no recompense is offered for any that goes unused".
Other cost saving ideas listed included the cost of additional drivers, take your own satnav and take your own child seats, apparently according to the article "With easyJet, you can check in a child's car seat for free if you are travelling with an infant under two.", Not so sure what would happen with Ryanair though.
